What you paste is a small HTML block — a

When the page loads in a real browser, our lightweight loader script (under 1 KB, async) replaces the blockquote with the styled, live weather widget rendered inside an iframe. Visitors see the pretty widget. Crawlers, RSS readers, AMP, screen readers, e-mail clients, and any context where JavaScript is not available see the clean blockquote fallback. Nothing is lost.

This is the same pattern Twitter, Instagram, and Reddit use for their embeds — a semantic HTML fallback that gets enhanced into a rich widget. You do not have to think about it. You paste, you publish, it works.

How do I install on Wix or Squarespace?

Both have an HTML embed block. In Wix, add "Embed HTML" and paste the snippet. In Squarespace, add a "Code" block (HTML) and paste. The widget renders inside their sandbox without issues.

Can I show forecasts for multiple cities on the same page?

Yes — paste the snippet as many times as you want, one per city. Each widget loads independently and is cached separately at the edge, so adding more cities does not slow the page down.

No measurable impact on Core Web Vitals. The loader script is under 1 KB and loads async. The widget itself loads lazily — it does not render until the user scrolls near it. Average rendered payload is 6–8 KB gzipped, served from a CDN with sub-100 ms latency worldwide.

Can I change colors and sizes after I install it?

Yes — every option is a simple HTML attribute on the snippet. Change a number or a hex color in the pasted code and the widget updates the next time the page loads. No CSS file, no build step. Or come back to the generator above to design a new variant and copy fresh code.

How fresh is the weather data?

Current conditions refresh every 5 to 10 minutes on our servers. The widget pulls from the live cache, so your visitors always see up-to-date data without you having to do anything.

We aggregate from major global meteorological providers and pick the highest-resolution source for each city. Coverage is global: every populated country, over 2.8 million cities and towns, including remote locations most APIs miss.

Is the widget GDPR-friendly?

Yes. The widget sets no cookies, runs no tracking scripts, fingerprints no users, and never sees your visitor's IP for analytics — the only network calls are to weather.now to fetch the widget HTML and weather icons (same as embedding a YouTube video or Google Map). You do not need to add it to a cookie banner.

Does it work if my visitors have JavaScript disabled?

Yes — they see the HTML fallback: the city name, a working link to its full forecast page on weather.now, and the weather.now credit. The styled widget only appears once the loader script runs.

Can I use the widget on an AMP page?

AMP strips custom scripts, so the live widget will not render — but the blockquote fallback (city name + link + credit) is valid AMP HTML and will display normally. Most embedders are happy with that on their AMP variant.

Can I show the city in a different language than my visitors?

Yes — set the Language option in the generator to any of our 38 supported locales. Or leave it on Auto and the widget will follow your visitor's browser language preference.
